The Hair Shop
A hair weave is a method of extending hair by applying a weft of human or synthetic hair to a cornrow or a braid. Some of the benefits of hair weaves are that they can lengthen hair, add volume and/or thickness to fine or thinning hair.
One type of application is called a sew-in where a track is created by braiding one’s own hair, the weft hair is then applied with a special sewing needle to the track. Weft hair can also be applied by gluing directly to the natural hair using hair glue specifically made for hair weaves.

Just a quick little post on Lindsay Lohan, I’m really hoping she finally got her act together and stopped partying. Here she is getting back to her roots, literally. Lindsay’s new red hair made its debut over the weekend and we LOVE IT! 
Her extensions look great too! For those of you who didn’t know she`s wearing 18 inch long extensions. From her previous looks they were platinum blond, but her stylist dyed her hair and the extension hair red. This is another great versatility of high quality extensions, you can color them! You would not be able to do that with low quality hair. She looks best as a redhead…keep it up!

I’ve been seen the Ombre dyed hair back in style, yes this is the grown out roots look, dark top of the head to light bottom ends. Here in Vancouver, it is quite popular and I think it looks gorgeous on a lot of women.
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where cash flow is just not coming in as it once did. You start to feel the pinch when you have to use your credit cards more often, and eventually you learn to buy less and save more. One of my favourite ways to save on hair maintenance is to re-use my extensions. Really? Yes! Just add some clips to them!
How? If you have machine tied wefts you can sew the clips on to the tracks. All you need is a thick sewing needle and some strong string that matches the hair color to hold up the clips. I suggest about three clips per row/track, one on each end and one in the middle. You can purchase these small clips from a local beauty salon or ebay for $1.oo or less. Thread and needle can be found in your mothers sewing box or at any local sewing stores.
